The rules and provisions of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Sciences

Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) in Agricultural Sciences


Registration requirements :
To enroll the student to study the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Sciences, the following requirements are required:
1. The student must have a master's degree in agricultural sciences in the field of specialization or equivalent degree in the field of specialization or related from another recognized scientific institute.
2. The average grade of the courses studied by the student in the master's degree should be at least "very good".
3- The student must submit the registration form for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Sciences to the head of the department council, who shall refer it to the department council for the opinion.
4. The student will conduct a seminar entitled "Seminar" with the help of supervisors to review the title and research plan of the study.
5. The date of approval of the faculty council shall be the date of registration of the student.
6. Registered students from non-research institutions should study at least two days per week.
7. Registration of non-Egyptian students shall be taken in accordance with the admission procedures of foreign students determined by the Supreme Council of Universities.
8 - The student must register for the degree of doctorate that the period does not exceed the period since obtaining a master's degree five years.
1. The student shall study courses of at least 42 credit hours, approved by the faculty council upon the proposal of the principal supervisor, and approval by the relevant department council of graduate courses, including compulsory courses (21 credit hours) within the specialization branch and elective courses (21 hours) (10) in order to be able to obtain the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Sciences in the specialization of the Faculty of Science, a certain. The hour is a theoretical hour or two practical hours.
2 - Calculates the preparation of the thesis 12 credit hours, in addition to the credit hours of the courses (42 credit hours), bringing the total number of credit hours to 54 hours.


Examination


1 - The student must obtain a "very good" rating at least in the general average of all the courses assigned to him in the doctoral stage in order to be able to take the preparatory examination. In case the student did not obtain the required grade added to courses not previously studied, So that the required estimate can be achieved or canceled.
2. The Examination Committee for the registered student for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Sciences shall be formed upon the proposal of the Principal Supervisor and the recommendation of the relevant department council and the approval of the faculty council and the approval of the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research on this formation, provided that it is valid for six months. This period.
