In a new academic achievement, the University of Minia has made significant progress in the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) for the year 2025, advancing 61 places globally. The university now holds the 836th position globally out of 3000 international universities assessed under this ranking, compared to 897th place last year.

Additionally, the university secured the 12th position nationally out of 37 Egyptian universities included in this ranking among over a hundred universities. This reflects the quality of research and notable academic development witnessed at the university.

Prof. Dr. Essam Farhat, President of the University of Minia, emphasized that this progress reflects the ambitious strategy followed by the university in developing scientific research, enhancing international cooperation, and supporting researchers. He added that the university's advancement in international rankings is a result of efforts to encourage international publications and increase the research impact of the university on a global level.

Prof. Dr. Farhat pointed out that this achievement aligns with the university's future vision aimed at enhancing its position in international rankings and raising the academic quality level, in line with the Egyptian state's strategy for developing higher education and scientific research. He affirmed that this progress is clear evidence of the continuous work of the University of Minia to be a leading institution locally and internationally by improving research performance, encouraging innovation, and offering distinguished academic programs in line with the latest global trends.

It is worth noting that the URAP ranking is one of the prominent global rankings based on a set of precise research indicators such as research output, the number of scientific articles published in globally indexed journals, research impact measured by the number of scientific citations, and international cooperation in research projects. This ranking serves as a testament to the ongoing efforts made by the University of Minia to solidify its position as a leading academic institution, significantly contributing to enhancing the university's reputation locally and internationally
