The University of Minia, under the leadership of Professor Dr. Essam El-Din Sadek Farhat, the University President, and Professor Dr. Ayman Mohamed Hassanein, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, collaborated with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Ministry of Agriculture to enhance research partnerships aimed at fostering sustainable agricultural practices.

Gathering at the Faculty of Agriculture on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the collaborative meeting delved into strategies to expand joint initiatives that benefit scientific research and support local farmers, particularly in improving water usage efficiency. During the session, the agricultural greenhouse, established through FAO assistance, was inspected. Furthermore, the university's own greenhouse unit for protected crops was visited, sparking discussions on deepening cooperation in this vital area.

The engagement between the University of Minia, FAO representatives including Professor Dr. Samahi Mahmoud Hamed and Engineer Naglaa El-Bendary, as well as delegates from the Ministry of Agriculture such as Engineer Abdelhamid El-Barkawi and Engineer Mohamed Ebrahim, signifies a commitment to advancing agriculture sustainably.
