Agriculture Organizes Seminar on “Preventing Heart Diseases through Healthy Lifestyles”

The Faculty of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Biotechnology Program’s Department of Agricultural Chemistry, organized a seminar aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles for preventing heart diseases. The event was held on Tuesday, 2/7/2024, as part of the faculty's summer training program for second-year students.

Under the esteemed patronage of Prof.Dr. Essam Sadek Farhat, the university president, and the guidance of Prof.Dr. Hamdan Ebrahim Mahmoud, the dean of the faculty, the seminar featured a distinguished guest speaker, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Dardir. 

Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Dardir, a renowned cardiologist and consultant from the Faculty of Medicine, Minia University, delivered a thought-provoking lecture on the significance of adopting healthy habits to safeguard against heart diseases and related cardiovascular issues.

The seminar commenced with the national anthem and recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a warm welcome from Prof.Dr. Hamdan Ebrahim Mahmoud. He expressed gratitude on behalf of the faculty to all attendees and conveyed Prof.Dr. Essam Sadek Farhat's strong support for such informative events that equip students with valuable knowledge and experiences.

Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Dardir, brimming with enthusiasm, expressed his pleasure at addressing the seminar participants at the Faculty of Agriculture. He stressed the importance of preventive measures, emphasizing that a healthy lifestyle holds the key to reducing the risk of heart diseases and vascular complications. Through an engaging presentation, Dr. Dardir shared insights on essential healthy patterns and dietary practices that aid in maintaining cardiovascular well-being.

Following the lecture, an interactive Q&A session enabled attendees to seek clarification on various aspects of heart disease prevention and vascular health. Additionally, symbolic awards were presented to commend the students who actively participated in the seminar.

The seminar concluded on a high note with the presentation of a faculty shield to Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Dardir, acknowledging his invaluable contributions to the success of the distinguished seminar.
